Gabala

Gabala (Qabala) is a small, but modern city of Azerbaijan which is respectfully called the ‘Azerbaijanian Switzerland’ by people. The rich history of the resort (more than 2,000 years) could not but leave its imprint: coming for a holiday here, find some time to go sightseeing, you will not be sorry for that.

If we have a look at the map, we will come to know that Gabala is located in the lower part of the gorge of mounts Tufan and Bazar Yurt, at the foothill of the Greater Caucasus, on the shore of the picturesque river of Damiraparanchay.Information about the city
The area of the resort is not that large — together with the adjacent lands the city territory occupies 1,500 sq. km. The number of residents is also small – less than 13,000 people.

The climate is rather pleasant: mountains protect the resort in summer from enduring heat, and in winter — from severe frosts, therefore the weather here almost always pleases tourists and local residents with its mildness.
